Rev. Deja Wilson

Rev. Deja Wilson, M.Div., M.P.H., is a devoted servant of Christ with a passion for teaching, preaching, and continuous learning in the Word. She currently serves as the Director of the Village Ministry at Alfred Street Baptist Church, where she is dedicated to fostering a close-knit, small-church community feel within the larger congregation of over 12,000 members.

Deja holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Public Health degree from Wayne State University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, where she concentrated in Black Church Studies and Theology, Women, and Gender.

With a deep passion for womanist theology, Deja is committed to centering Black women’s narratives as a framework for illuminating the overlooked and marginalized figures in scripture. Through this lens, she seeks to uplift and amplify the voices and stories that are often overshadowed, ensuring they are seen, heard, and valued in the broader theological conversation.
